Dan Ryan - Chief Executive Officer

Most recently, Mr. Ryan founded Precis Communications: a company offering cable television and high-speed data services to consumers in Utah, Arizona and Nevada, and Blue Vista Communications: a satellite uplinking and transport company built to deliver broadcast signals to rural cable consumers in Utah and Nevada.

Prior to founding Precis, Mr. Ryan was Vice President of Charter Communication’s Rocky Mountain Group, a region with 260,000 customers in 12 western states. Mr. Ryan created the division by hiring 14 management team members and reorganizing the entire field staff. Previous to joining Charter, Mr. Ryan was executive director of operations at Rifkin and Associates, Inc. (R&A), a medium-sized cable operator that was purchased by Charter Communications in 1999. Mr. Ryan was responsible for managing one of R&A’s cable partnerships and was instrumental in securing financing for R&A’s acquisitions. Mr. Ryan also managed R&A’s rate regulation activities and was R&A’s key liaison to Capitol Hill during the development of the 1996 Telecommunications Act.

Prior to entering the cable television industry, Mr. Ryan worked for US West as an economist and for Lockheed Martin as an economist and operations research manager. Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics from New Mexico State University.
